Growing up, I was always surrounded by sports and athletics. But like many people, I never had a consistent personal fitness routine. By the time I got into high school, it caught up with me—weight gain around my midsection, recurring injuries, knee pain, stress, and anxiety.

In 2020, I decided to take my health seriously. I started exploring workouts, nutrition, and weight loss strategies. Just as I began (quite literally) my first full week in the gym, COVID-19 shut just about everything down. With little equipment and minimal resources, I relied on bodyweight training and smarter nutrition choices. Over six months, I lost more than 50 pounds.

But the biggest change wasn’t the weight I lost—it was the joy I found in keeping the promises I made to myself. For years, I had treated exercise like punishment and food like a coping mechanism. Now, for the first time, I felt proud of how I looked, confident in how I felt, and excited by the process itself.

The weights weren’t punishment. The cardio wasn’t misery. Dieting wasn't a restriction.

It became a joyful, evolving lifestyle.

As I prepared for college, I naturally leaned toward personal training—not just to be in the gym, but because I realized what truly mattered: helping people experience that same joy and freedom.

In the summer of 2023, after my first year at LSU, I launched JC-Fit as a simple workout programming website. But as I connected with more people, I knew programs alone weren’t enough. A life changing experience needed to be more than just sets, reps, and calorie counts. In the fall of 2023, JC-Fit evolved into the full-service personal training model it is today—centered on collaboration, coaching, and long-term lifestyle transformation.

In a world of social media noise, misinformation, and quick fixes, JC-Fit isn’t just another plan. It’s a service—a partnership built on guidance, accountability, and inspiration.

Today, JC-Fit exists to walk side-by-side with you, helping turn your fitness journey into something exciting, sustainable, and meaningful. Because fitness should never feel like punishment.

It should feel like freedom.
